Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME extension is the sole TLD intended for personal sites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are popular by. At first, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to order john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken third-level names remained functional.

Through our company, you can register your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular regulations on who can buy a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the objective behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
